What’s the Role: Support Worker
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Dunmisk Manor, Andersonstown Road
As part of the team at Dunmisk Manor you will be working together with adults with Mental Health needs to live with dignity and pursue their day to day activities at a purpose built, modern care setting. Our 16 service users at Dunmisk Manor are mostly independent and receive varied support to encourage the continued development of this independence.
Support levels are tailored to the specific needs of the individual and includes cooking and cleaning support, financial management, support with medications and attending medical appointments, and support in accessing nearby community services.
Support Workers at Dunmisk Manor work a mixture of day shifts and sleepovers on a rota with the whole staff team, consisting of full time and part time support workers and 4 Team Leaders along with a team of relief staff helping to cover training and annual leave need.

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Full Time Contract available
*£21,131 per annum
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies.
