What’s the Role: Relief Support Worker
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Carmen Lane
Carmen Lane is a 6 bedded supported living unit with 4 additional properties in the Bangor and Newtownards community. Carmen Lane is a 24 hour supported living facility with staff in the service at all times. Tasks required by the staff team is supporting individuals manage their mental health diagnosis and learn coping skills, building on daily living skills, administration of medication, support service users to manage their finances and budgets, personal care tasks, cleaning and supporting the service users to socialise within their community.

Relief Contracts available
£10.42 per hour
*Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies*
