What’s the Role: Support Worker
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.
So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team support our service users to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our service users with day to day life.
Where You Would Work: Rainbow Lodge, Ballymena
Rainbow Lodge is a Residential and Short Break Children’s Unit that is operated by Praxis Care.
Flexible Contracts, Fulfilling Work
We’re looking for caring staff to join our growing team in Ballymena who will take an active role in supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and complex behavioural support needs.
Full-time, part-time and relief roles are available so you can get the work-life balance you need.
Whether you have family, school or other commitments, we will work with you to get you the hours you want in the time of day that suits you.

We’re recruiting at all levels of experience – so whether you have years of experience behind you or are brand new to social care, we’d love to hear from you!
We provide fully paid, comprehensive training to help you excel in your new role.

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Full Time, Part Time and Relief contracts available
*£21,557 per annum
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies.
